I'm a former U.S. Marine officer and retired professional women’s soccer player. I played for the Houston Dash of the NWSL from 2014-2016 and now spend time coaching goalkeepers at the international level. I've worked with both the Afghanistan and the Antigua and Barbuda Women's National Teams.
I am passionate about supporting other pro athletes and women coaches. My path to pro soccer was unusual as I played after my career in the Marine Corps. Once I retired from playing, it was clear to me that I wanted to stay in the game as a coach and to influence and give back to the community that supported me. Football is a vehicle for changing the world and empowering women players and coaches everywhere is an important life mission for me!
I competed in NCAA Div I soccer at the U.S. Naval Academy and graduated with honors in 2006. After earning my commission, I served nearly eight years as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer. In addition to my degree from the Naval Academy, I have an MBA with Distinction from the University of Liverpool and currently attend the University of Houston Law Center in pursuit of a joint JD/LL.M., specializing in International Economic Law.
I am a Lifetime Girl Scout and serve as an Executive Board Member for both the Asherah Foundation and the U.S. Naval Academy TxGC Foundation. I'm also an outspoken advocate of gun reform and currently serve as the Chair of the City of Houston Commission Against Gun Violence.
I have been very (and uniquely) fortunate to be able to have a full-time job while playing and coaching that has enabled me to support my family while also pursuing my dreams. In order to give back and help support others in pursuit of their dreams, I will be donating all funds generated through the backr platform to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Players Association. With your interest and support, we can help build a bright future for pro women soccer players!
